We are a K-8 independent school with approximately 165 students,  accredited by the California Association of  Independent Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.  We are seeking a Lower School Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year in General Studies, to include Language Arts,  Humanities, Math and Science. We would like a teacher that wants to engage in school life and culture.  The school offers small class sizes, teaching assistants, a supportive environment, true dedication to professional growth, and an innovative approach to learning.  In addition to curriculum planning and whole-group/small group instruction, our teachers are expected to differentiate the curriculum and accommodate students with specific learning needs/strengths.  Productive and frequent connections with parents including weekly parent newsletters, emails and phone calls with parents, mid and end of semester report card narratives, and collaboration with colleagues are also important expectations.
