Tuition and Financial Aid
We are committed to maintaining socio-economic diversity in our community by helping families afford a CCJDS education. CCJDS has a deep commitment to tuition affordability. We recognize that families have different abilities to pay for private school. Financial assistance, in the form of flexible tuition, is a cornerstone of our mission. CCJDS makes substantial funds available for financial assistance to qualifying families. The school’s goal is to help as many families requiring assistance as possible.
Tuition for 2020-2021
Kindergarten – 5th grades: $19,750
6th – 8th grades: $23,000
Sibling discounts for full paying families:
$1,500 for the 2nd child
$2,250 for the 3rd child
Tuition for 2021-22 will be set in January 2021
CCJDS recognizes that tuition is a barrier for a range of income levels. Families with combined incomes of $0-$300,000 have qualified for tuition support depending on their particular situation including numbers of children, assets/debts, and other financial considerations.
If you are interested in applying for financial assistance, please complete and submit the Online Flexible Tuition Form (also available in print). After completing and submitting your Online Flexible Tuition Form, please provide a copy of your 2019 Federal Tax Return to our Business Office. You may send it by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by US Mail to CCJDS, Attn: Business Manager, 955 Risa Road, Lafayette, CA 94549. If your 2019 Tax Return is not yet available, please provide copies of your 2018 Federal Tax Return and estimates of 2019 income.
We encourage families that have concerns about their ability to meet our tuition requirements to go through the financial assistance application process.
All disclosures of information will remain confidential. The Flexible Tuition Committee will produce a tuition package recommendation after financial information has been submitted.
If you have any questions regarding the process, please contact our business office or Head of School.
Financial assistance is partially funded by generous donors, including the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund, the Aaron and Marie Blackman Foundation, and hundreds of individuals in our community.
